Message from senior
Nobuyuki Nakamura, Plant Manager
Although it was not long ago that the Sheet Metal Manufacturing Division was known for being dangerous, dirty, and difficult, GOSHI's Plant Division is working to prevent accidents by implementing a range of aggressive equipment-based countermeasures along with danger awareness training. We are also all working to maintain a bright, clean workplace with daily cleanups inside the plant and regular improvements to the work environment. The extensive use of automated equipment to reduce the labor load on employees while improving production efficiency is a constant priority for the Manufacturing Division, and we are striving to develop and operate high-efficiency production lines while applying improvements proposed by employees to floor operations.
I expect employees to have…
- An ability to enjoy manufacturing
- An ability to greet others in a bright and energetic manner
- Their own way of thinking
- An ability to see things from the perspective of others
- A desire to improve themselves and to learn, and a tendency to undertake all tasks with enthusiasm
- An energetic disposition
- A commitment to keeping promises
- Their own dreams and ambitions
- An ability to stay organized
- An accepting and humble personality
Hisanori Murakami, Manager, General Affairs Division
It's hard to believe that about 35 years have passed since GOSHI took advantage of an incentive program to incorporate in Goshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture. The company’s name was selected to convey our desire to be a company that enables individual employees as well as stakeholders (customers, shareholders, employees, and residents of local communities) to share their aspirations and polish their technical skills in order to provide customers with world-class products.
The environment within which we work today is changing extremely quickly. As social issues including the environment, the global economy, Japan’s social security system, education, and public safety, not to mention business operation, I hope that GOSHI will continue to be a corporation that joins its employees in contributing to the greater good of society.
It is said that companies are made of people. People create companies, and people do the work of companies. GOSHI is committed to maintaining its central focus on people.
We attract individuals who want to share their aspirations and polish their technical skills so that they can make a contribution to the greater good of society.
Development Division
I joined Goushi Giken hoping to use the applied chemistry theory I had learnt as a student to develop products that would help the company and society as a whole. Now I supervise product development of key parts in purification devices for motorcycle exhaust emissions. This role requires me to communicate with a wide range of people, and apply their advice to strive to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. In the future, I hope to broaden my communication with others, and continue to contribute to the company and society while developing my own skills.
Quality Control Section
The Quality Control Section seeks to help employees develop an eye for quality with internal and outside coursework in quality control, teaching them to think and act from the customer's perspective, and training them in internationally accepted quality standards. Committed to guarding against complacency by focusing on the need to move beyond reality, we are dedicated to satisfying customers by working to improve Goshi's products and facilitating their continuing evolution.
Manufacturing Section 1
Manufacturing Section 1 currently oversees the sunroof spot line. Products on this line are processed entirely by robots, requiring our employees to learn how to handle complex equipment and master welding technology. Because not many companies have access to the systems we have, acquiring this knowledge bolsters workers' self-confidence. I hope that working to fulfill my own dreams through the technical skills and contacts I make in my work and recreational activities will ultimately help me to play a meaningful role at the company. On a personal note, I'm enjoying getting to know coworkers and friends, and I'm eager to contribute to the company by working hard and maintaining a positive attitude.
Tokyo Sales Office
I'm responsible for calculating the cost of parts produced by the Goshi Giken Group. Having lots of opportunities to acquire information about new motorcycle models and technologies and being able to see my own ideas become part of products makes me feel very motivated to do my job. Technology progresses quickly, so I spend my days studying how to use new technologies to provide high-value, quality products to customers.
